Dr Tereza Novotna has published a new policy paper on “What Can a New ‘Geopolitical’ EU Do about North Korea?”for 38 North where she suggests that the EU should take an initiative and propose a “Borrell Peace Plan” for the Korean peninsula before the EU might be forced to choose sides between Beijing and Washington should China diverge from the US on the Korean affairs. She also argues that the Europeans (as much as the US Democrats) should not be dissuaded from a dialogue with the DPRK just because President Trump has done it.
